Rammed earth is one of the oldest building methods in the world, and one of the best suited to a warm, humid, subtropical climate. The clay in the earth mix is hygroscopic: it absorbs excess moisture from the air when the house is humid and releases it again as conditions dry out. This natural “breathing” helps even out indoor humidity, reduces condensation and supports a healthier home.
Rammed Earth is a structural material as much as a finish; the wall you see is the finished wall, with no cladding, render, or paint required.
